The fully-accredited Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital offers healthcare in over 30 different medical specialties including comprehensive, cardiac, and cancer care. The Hastings Regional Center provides
total patient care for many psychiatric disorders. Rural Metro is a
private corporation that provides emergency and non-emergency medical
transport.

K-12
Hastings Public Schools District #18
Public School District #18 is a Class III, type K-6-2-4 school, and is
accredited AA. The district boundaries follow those of the City of
Hastings and include 6 elementary schools, located in resdential
neighborhoods through the city. The middle school is centrally located
and also house the district's administratice offices. The high school
is located in north hastings.
Adams Central District
The Adams Central School District is a Junior/Senior High School
located just west of Hastings. It serves the rural areas surrounding
the city and residential developments outside the city limits. Students
feed into the district from a number of rural elementary schools
located throughout the area.
Hastings Catholic Schools
Hastings Catholic Schools operate a K-12 system, with St. Michael's
Elementary (grades K-5), St. Cecilia's Middle School (grades 6-8) and
St. Cecelia's High School grades 9-12).
Parochial
Zion Lutheran School provides a parochial education for grades kindergarten through 8th.
