The overall purpose of the Hastings Chamber of Commerce is to promote the economic growth and quality of life in the Hastings area. The chamber strives to provide a clear persuasive voice for the business community in governmental affairs on federal, state, county and local levels. It provides services designed to enable the public and private sectors to improve productivity and it promotes the Hastings area as an economic, educational and recreation center while providing membership services and networking opportunities for its members.

The Mission of the Hastings Area Chamber of Commerce is to improve and enhance the economic vitality and the quality of life for the total community and area. In pursuing its mission, the Hastings Chamber will do the following:

• Be sensitive and responsive to the needs of business and the community.
• Encourage broad community involvement in pursuing community goals.
• Develop, promote and provide leadership.
• Provide services for the membership and community.
• Present views of the business community.

The chamber will accomplish its mission through the leadership and guidance of the leadership of the Board of Directors, Officers, Committee Chairs and Staff.
