Crime Prevention Committee
Serves as the official link between the Chamber and its members, to recognize area business and community achievements. Contact the Chamber for meeting dates. Limited to 25 members.
Each year the Crime Prevention Committee of the Hastings Area Chamber of Commerce hosts a BBQ, visits with police, various community organizations, and other activities on the first Tuesday in August. The location changes but is always held at a local park.
National Night Out is designed to:
- Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness
- Generate support for, and participation in, local anticrime efforts
- Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships
- Send a message to criminals letting them know neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
